Fall Drama Classes Begin Soon!

Explore classic fairy tales, then recreate each story with basic props and costumes.

Park Players (ages 7 -14)

Someone killed Shakespeare!  Plots that twist and turn have created the perfect reason for any one of his characters to kill the Bard.  Concludes with a Murder Mystery Lunch Party.  Fast-paced, interactive fun!

Stage Make-Up (ages 9+)

In this 4-day class, students will learn how to exaggerate, diminish, and create facial features to help an actor portray a character.  Facial features, old-age makeup, and bruises and cuts will be covered.  Fee includes personal make-up kit.  Registration deadline: September 28.

Stage Craft: Intro to Technical Theatre (ages 10+)

Learn new techniques to transform items on-stage or in your home.  Brushes and tools will be available to create marbling, textures, woodgrain, and more on a variety of surfaces.  Fee includes all materials.

GDC Auditions on August 27!

Do you love to sing and share your talent with the community? Audition for the Greater Decatur Chorale on August 27 from 6 – 7 p.m. at the Poage Arts & Rec Center (2020 N. Oakland). To audition, prepare a song of your choice and sing it with or without a tape or CD. You may be asked to sight read or perform tonal memory singing, as well.
