Stone Soup Shakespeare: The Taming of the Shrew

Cookin’ with the Chorale: “It’s a Grand Night for Singing!”

The Decatur Park District will host Cookin’ with the Chorale presented by WAND-17 on May 26 & 27. These free family fun concerts begin at 6 p.m. both days at Fairview Park Pavilion #1 and features over 70 talented vocalists, along with director Ted Hesse and accompanist Anita Gifford. Concessions and hot grills for cooking will be available at 5 p.m.

Spring Dance Recital: The World of Dance

The Decatur Park District Dance Studio celebrates 11 years of dance instruction with their students performing The World of Dance! on May 11 & 12. Show times are 7 p.m. on May 11 and 11 a.m. & 5 p.m. on May 12 at the Decatur Civic Center Theater. Performances will feature dance students aged 3 – adult and a special performance by the high school senior dancers. Tickets are $8 in advance before May 10 at the Decatur Park District Administrative Office (620 E. Riverside Ave.) or by calling 422-5911. Tickets are $10 at the door for reserved seating.

2018 Rotten Easter Egg Hunt

Be a kid again at the 2018 Rotten Easter Egg Hunt at Scovill Golf Course on April 6! This adults-only event begins at 6:30 p.m. Registration deadline is April 5, unless sold out. Held rain or shine. Perform! Seussical Free Audition Workshop

Attend the free Audition Workshop to learn different performance skills and techniques that can help actors during their Seussical audition process. Pre-register by November 9 at 422-5911.

Star Wars Camp Mini-Movie

Youth aged 7 – 14 had a great time during the July Star Wars Camp. Activities included making a Star Wars-style light saber and learning light saber techniques. The group also wrote and filmed their own Star Wars mini-movie. Click below to watch!
