Baseball & Softball Indoor Camp at the DISC!


Our Indoor Baseball & Softball Camp will cover everything your child needs to get ready for the spring season. Training sessions will include hitting, fielding, throwing, base running, and end with a short scrimmage game. All participants are required to wear a mask during this camp.

Parent volunteers are needed for 3-6 year old age groups. Contact Tony at No experience necessary. Must pass background check.

Baseball Hitting & Pitching Lessons
Jim Stewart works with athletes one-on-one at the DISC, offering insights on hitting and pitching philosophies and techniques. Full hour and 1/2 hour sessions are available. Call Coach Stewart at 972-1923 to reserve your time slot.

Softball Hitting & Pitching Lessons
Players of all skill levels will enhance their hitting and pitching skills. Hitters learn various hitting techniques, improve hand-eye coordination, and adjust to different pitches at the plate. Pitchers cover ball movement and placement, and basic pitch selection. Each lesson is broken into three 30-minute time slots. Call the DISC at 429-3472 for more information.

Decatur Commodores Baseball

In 2020, the Decatur Commodores will begin their 11th year as a member of the Park District baseball family. The goal is to provide superior coaching and instruction for boys who want to reach the highest levels of play.
