  • Monday is Coed, Wednesday and Thursday and Men’s Leagues.

Cup in Hand Kickball is on Thursday Nights and includes:

Splash Cove Update

Splash Cove  is committed to working through solutions to create a safe and fun environment for our employees and patrons.

The following Splash Cove policies will go into effect as of Monday, June 21, 2021. These policies are put in place for the safety of our community. Additional security will be present at the facility during operating hours moving forward.

Splash Cove updated policies:

  • All minors 15 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian 18 and older to be admitted into Splash Cove.
  • All visitors age 5 and older will require a Splash Cove-issued identification card. Splash Cove identification can be obtained at Splash Cove or the Decatur Indoor Sports Center front desk beginning June 21, 2021.
  • Completed registration form and signed acknowledgement of our code of conduct required when obtaining identification. Forms can be found online at Decatur-parks.org.
  • No re-entry allowed.
  • Open swim will now close at 6:30 p.m. daily. Passholders admitted at 11:30 a.m. Non-passholders will be admitted at 12:00 p.m.
  • Capacity will be voluntarily reduced by 25%.

Current policies will also continue to be strictly enforced including:

  • No running, dunking, horseplay, rough housing or foul language will be tolerated. Any person deemed as not following this rule will be asked to leave the facility with possibility of being banned.
  • No outside food or drink allowed. There are two water stations available for filling of empty bottles.
  • Bag check required upon entry.
  • Only Coast Guard approved flotation devices are allowed.
  • Riders must be at least 48” to ride water slides and zip line. Experienced swimmers age 5 and up may utilize the diving boards and rock wall.
  • Only official swimwear may be worn in the pool and is up to manager’s discretion.
  • No smoking of any kind, including vaping, is allowed inside pool fence.
  • All purchased food and drink must stay in concession area.
  • No refunds regardless of weather, attire or length of stay.
  • Lock up your valuables. The Decatur Park District is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.

About Splash Cove

Splash Cove features a lazy river, zero-depth entry leisure pool with an interactive play structure, wet deck, lily pad crossing feature, and vortex, an 8-lane lap pool with zip line, rock climbing wall, 3-meter diving board, 6 meter high dive, 4 body slides, and a zero-depth entry baby pool. A full service concession stand will also be available.

Decatur Park District Statement on Splash Cove

We are aware of the incident that happened at Splash Cove tonight Friday, June 18. Safety of our patrons is our top priority.

Therefore, tomorrow, Saturday, June, 19, and Sunday, June 20, family swim and open swim at Splash Cove will be canceled. Aqua fitness and swim lessons will remain as scheduled.

We are reviewing current policies and procedures to ensure the safety of our employees, community and patrons. There is nothing more important than the safety of our community and the employees that serve it.

MIDSTATE SOCCER CLUB HOSTS 11TH ANNUAL MIDSTATE CUP

The Decatur Park District will host the11th Annual MidState Cup Tournament in Decatur, June 4 – 6 at the Decatur Soccer Complex, presented by ADM and Midwest Fiber. Admission is free.

The MidState Cup, an Illinois Youth Soccer Association approved tournament, will welcome 90 boys’ and girls’ (U8 – U18) club travel teams from Illinois and surrounding states coming to compete. Nearly 8,000 attendees are expected for the weekend.

The economic impact to the Decatur community from the tournament will be substantial given that teams will be visiting our local hotels, restaurants, gas stations, shopping centers along with attending many family-driven activity destinations.

MIDSTATE YOUTH SOCCER LEAGUE REGISTRATION OPEN FOR SPRING SEASON

Registration for the Decatur Park District’s Midstate Youth Soccer League (MYSL) is going on now for boys and girls aged kindergarten – 8th grade with the season beginning March 22, 2021. A high school program will not be offered in 2021 due to conflicting IHSA season dates.

Spring season dates are March 22 – May 8, 2021. Registration is February 20 – March 7 and fees are $91, or $82 with resident discount. Fees include a complete Midstate Soccer Club colored uniform with jersey, shorts and socks. Visit midstatesoccer.com for session dates and times by age group.

The main objective of MYSL is to provide individual development within a safe, fun and age-appropriate way. Included are 6 games and 7 training sessions, coached by Midstate’s licensed trainers.

Each team will have a volunteer parent facilitator who will help the trainers during practice days and organize the team on game day. All 4th/5th and 6th-8th grade teams will have a Midstate trainer as a coach on game days.

Decatur Youth Baseball is affiliated with Little League and Tri-County Baseball and operates under their rules and regulations. The Youth Softball league is affiliated with Country Girls and operates under their rules and regulations. Bronco and Pony divisions of baseball are affiliated with Tri-County Baseball and operated under their rules and regulations. We appreciate the continued support of parents, volunteers and sponsors.

Register anytime at the Decatur Indoor Sports Center (DISC), or online (decatur-parks.org). For on-site registrations, parent or guardian must accompany youth, and a birth certificate copy is required for first-year players.

Register by February 28 to receive the discounted Early Registration rate. Registration ends March 26. Opening Day: Saturday, May 8 / Teams will take pictures and play an in-house game.

Registration requests after March 26 will be charged a late registration fee and put on a waitlist and placed on teams if space permits. Shirts, hats, and awards are included in the fee.

COVID-19 UPDATE: Decatur Youth Baseball/Softball 2020 Season Cancelled

The District continues to monitor the CDC, IDPH and Macon County Health Department for guidance on reopening additional park amenities. Open greenspace, parks and trails, golf courses, disc golf courses and tennis/pickleball courts continue to be accessible to the public at this time. Please note that users may find limited access to public restrooms and water fountains. Do not use parks or trails if you are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms or been in contact with anyone experiencing symptoms.

This guidance is current as of today, but is a fluid and evolving situation changing by the day as incremental reopening guidelines are released. The District will continue to monitor any changes to the Restore Illinois Plan that may affect these decisions.

COVID-19 Update: July 4 Activities and Fireworks Cancelled, Splash Cove Will Not Open

DECATUR, IL – The Decatur Park District continues to monitor the CDC, IDPH and Macon County Health Department for guidance on reopening additional park amenities. Open greenspace, parks and trails, golf courses, disc golf courses, tennis/pickleball courts and dog parks continue to be accessible to the public at this time. Please note that users will find limited access to public restrooms and water fountains. Remember, do not use parks or trails if you are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms or been in contact with anyone experiencing symptoms.
Due to the impact of COVID-19 and the Governor’s “5-Phase Restore Illinois Plan”, The Decatur Park District is cancelling its July 4th activities including the community fireworks display. In addition, Splash Cove Water Park will not open for operation this summer.
“Following guidance provided in the Governor’s Restore Illinois Plan, we are looking at late summer before any large groups or public facilities will be able to safely open. With our community’s health and safety as our primary concern, we made the difficult decision to forgo opening Splash Cove this summer,” stated Bill Clevenger, Executive Director of the Decatur Park District.
