Redbird Rookies – Opening Day

Redbird Rookies, presented by the Decatur Park District and DMH, is a Cardinals Care free baseball league for boys and girls aged 5 – 13 who have no prior experience playing ball. If you are interested in coaching or have a young athlete who would like to play baseball the Redbird Rookies way, visit redbirdrookies.com – click “Find a league near you”, then click “Decatur.” Coaches’ meetings will be held on April 19 to assign teams and review league rules and expectations. All volunteer and background check information must be completed by April 25.
Opening Day is Saturday, June 4 at Hess Park from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Don’t miss team photos and your player’s first game! Regular season games will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Hess Park.
