Through the efforts of a committed board of directors, the Decatur Parks Foundation benefits park and recreation projects and programs by securing contributions from corporations and individuals. Assistance has been provided since 1981 through events, scholarships, volunteers, and financial support. As the Decatur Park District serves the greater Decatur community, the work of both organizations is far reaching. The Decatur Parks Foundation works closely to align itself with the goals of the Decatur Park District.
