About the Course
Designed by legendary hall of fame player, Raymond Floyd, Red Tail Run opened for play in May 2006. This signature course, owned and operated by the Decatur Park District, is carved from the native prairie lands, featuring wide undulating greens, rolling fairways and native grasses.
Located in Decatur, Illinois, Red Tail Run is designed for players of all skill levels. From five tee locations providing multiple angles to the fairway landing area, this signature Floyd course is truly designed for the champion to the novice golfer.
Red Tail Run is named after the Red Tail Hawk, a majestic bird of the open country, frequently seen soaring overhead.
Red Tail Run Golf Club will be home to the Decatur Park District First Tee
Learning Center.
