Golf Academy

The Decatur Park District’s Golf Academy offers a wide range of golf learning experiences for players of all skill levels.

Our award-winning First Tee program, part of the World Golf Foundation and sponsored locally by Ameren, teaches life skills through the game of golf. The 2008 summer season will feature the First Tee Golf Camp from June 2 - 6 and First Tee Junior Golf Programming from June 10 - August 9 at Hickory Point Golf Club.

The academy also features Women's Golf Clinics and Adult Golf Clinics, designed for both the beginning and advanced player. Wednesday nights are Family Golf Nights at Red Tail Run. Parents and their children receive low-key instruction with golf pros on hand to offer tips on the driving range and putting green.

Whether you’re new to the game or play like the pros, the Park District’s Golf Academy offers opportunities to have fun while you improve your golf game.
