Adult Beginner Tennis Clinic & Cardio Tennis Class

The Decatur Park District is offering two new tennis classes this summer at the Fairview Park Tennis Complex. The Wednesday Night Adult Beginner Tennis Clinic is a six week class for beginning players and those wishing to return to the game. The clinic is on Wednesdays, June 5 – July 17 from 6 – 7 p.m. and costs $66 per player. Racquets are provided for those who need one. Those looking for a different type of tennis workout can try the Wednesday Night Cardio Tennis Class. This class emphasizes fun and exercise while players hit balls for one hour. Classes meet on Wednesdays, June 5 – July 17 from 7 – 8 p.m. Fee is $36 per player. Call Chuck Kuhle at 423-7020 to register by May 22.

Tuesday Night Park Runs

Head to Fairview for a Tuesday night run in the park! This weekly event includes a half-mile Tot Trot, one-mile Fun Run or various distances up to seven miles. Come by yourself or bring the entire family! A distance race schedule is available at the DISC. Participants qualify for prize drawings donated by local merchants.

High School & Adult Recreational Soccer Leagues

The MidState co-ed recreational soccer leagues are designed for players who prefer more casual matches rather than those that are intensely competitive. The high school league will consist of JV and varsity divisions, while players 18 years and older will participate in the adult league. Games are 7 v 7.

Golf Family Fun Days, May 18 – August 11

Beginning May 18, on weekends and holidays after 2:30 p.m., families can play 9 holes with a cart at all courses for just $30 a foursome, $25 a threesome, or $20 a twosome. Tennis Doubles Challenge Court
